My basic attitude in understanding our inner world is psychodynamic and Buddhist. I work in an open ended approach, with the intention to explore the here and now of our experience, using psychodynamic listening combined with Gestalt and Buddhist tools and perspectives. I believe that good therapy should be adapted to the person. Every person is unique, every situation is unique, and our interaction makes each such journey different. Still, I see the focus as one and the same – to allow ourselves to be aware of different parts of ourselves, to be able to change those parts that can be changed, and to come to peace with other parts, with ourselves.
I was trained in Israel. I hold a Master's degree in both clinical psychology and neuropsychology, and a Ph.D. in psychology. I worked in Israel as a clinical psychologist both in a private practice and in a hospital setting, where I was able to work with people experiencing a wide range of emotional difficulties. I now live in Portland and have the opportunity to meet and work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
